Keeping cool in the heat

This weekend was so hot, we went swimming both days at our community pool. We're slowly getting better.
I love swimming!
This Tuesday night during our weekly Louie family dinner, we celebrated Uncle Roo's b-day.

On Friday night, Willy came over to have dinner with us. He is a 2nd year SJSU student who Mama and Dada help sponsor a scholarship via Meritus. Meritus granted Mama a scholarship to attend SCU in 1996.

Willy bought us a each a lego set.

iPad time while visiting Grandma, Grandpa & Great Grandma at their SF condo.

Happy 3rd Birthday Princess Gaby!

Dada had fun jumping around with us at Pump It Up for Gaby's b-day.

Dada's 33rd Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Dada's 33rd birthday with SEVEN REAL Star Wars characters from the 501st Garrison. All of us, especially Dada was star struck to have special visitors from a galaxy far far away.
All of our friends, and especially our family had to come dressed up so that our friendly Stormtroopers, Clone Troopers, Bobba Fett, and Luminara would feel included at the party. Everyday this past week, I asked Dada if Bobba Fett or the Storm Troopers would shoot us. He said not at the party because they're our guests and that it's his birthday...but I was only a little bit scared.

Check out the rest of the outfits, behind the scenes, and a close up of the party album here!

On Dada's actual birthday day, we surprised him with a plan for
the day and the creations we made out of Foamfetti (snowman by doa doa
and egypt pyramids by ethan), packaged with a card and some candy. Here's the plan:
  • wake up at 7am
  • sneak up on dada with the presents sing happy birthday
  • make oatmeal with special toppings for breakfast
  • 12pm pick up ethan
  • 2pm pick up tyler
  • 4pm go to Target
  • 5pm eat at Chili's for dinner
Following the plan, Dada brought my favorite pizza and sushi from Google, with bunny snacks and had a special picnic at Santa Clara park which is close to my pre-school. That night, Dada also got taken out by his SCU friends and other buddies. We thought we heard him come home around 4am, but he still took me to school and went to work the next day!

We also celebrated Auntie Nancy and Uncle Hibb's birthday as well.

I had my first date ever, and it was with Auntie Irene! Just on our own - no parents or lil bro. We went to Target and exchanged presents that she got us with my first Star Wars video game and Star Wars Transformer for Ethan. Thank you Auntie Irene!

Mama went to Pismo beach for Auntie Emi's bachlorette and had a nice relaxing weekend with the girls. Good talks, laughs and yummy food!

Their finger lickin good dinner at Cracked Crab to celebrate with Auntie Emi. We're all so excited for her wedding!

We spent the weekend with Mama and Dada's family in SF. Here we are celebrating Uncle Van's b-day pool party. These are Mama's cousins.

So much fun with Dada in the water. We got to go to our community pool 3x this week. Loving the water more each time.

It's 80% a girl

We had our ultrasound on Friday and the technician's thinking it's 80% a girl because they can't find a "wee-wee" like ours. Mama's still in disbelief since she was expecting a boy (feeling same as she did with us). We'll see what her doctor says this week before she goes too crazy shopping for pink (we already see some girly stuff lying around).

Mon 8/30 update: Mama saw her dr today who has confirmed 99% pink now!

Dinner with Dada's cousins, Uncle Jason & Ian visiting from Boston & LA. We had a great time with them. Baby already got a pink gift from Auntie Min that says "cutest lil sister!)" Wonder who gets the cutest "big bro" shirt?

The "other big news this week" is that Dada pulled my 2nd tooth out! Tooth fairy came again with $1! Not a bad deal.
Like father like son (good ESPN ad), Mama's trying to figure out who takes longer in the "office."

Dada brought us to the pool 3x this week. We're slowly getting better. Thanks Dada!

Gong Gong - thanks for taking care of us and for our new toy - we love it!

Playdate with the Ahmadpours visiting from LA, Uncle Sam has been best friends with Dada for more than 18 years!!!
Dada's college roomie, Uncle Pat & Auntie Jen's wedding at the Palace Hotel in SF. Mama and Dada had a blast reuniting with their college buddies at this heart felt & posh event.

We were in great hands with Grandma, Grandpa and Great Grandma just a mile away from the wedding.

Merry Go Round with the Lee's at Eden's 3rd b-day @ Kennedy Park in Hayward, great place!

Whee .. higher Dada!

1st day of 1st grade / preschool

Day 1 of 1st grade. Excited and nervous at the same time.

"No Mama, please don't go!" I cried for only 1 minute after my parents left, not too bad.

After school picnic with Mama for being a good boy at school.

Keeping Uncle Roo company before he goes in for Lasik eye surgery. He's pretty nervous. Bye bye glasses, he can see 20/20 now!

Visiting Dada's new office at Google. He still has our all artwork up.

Wang family dinner celebrating Gong Gong's 56th birthday and Uncle Michael's last day before he heads down to USC for Year 2. Miss you Foo-foo!
More swimming practice - I can put my head in the water now! Mama and Dada are SO proud of me (they thought the day would never come)!

Horsey ride from Dada, our reward for doing a good job at swim practice. Thanks Dada for practicing so much with us (while Mama relaxes by the pool side). Teacher Kim is so happy with our progress.

Our 1st circus show! Ringling Bros @ HP Pavillion in SJ. Great view from Symantec's suite, we're so spoiled.

Lots of elephants and tigers!
Happy shower Auntie Gina (Mama's college roomie)! Hope you ladies had fun while we had a couple hours out with Dada.

Bedtime story before our school night bedtime at 7:45. By the way, like our new haircuts? Dada finally caved in (after years) for letting Mama cut his hair, what do you think? He's still deciding if she's hired or fired.
