SIP Yummies

Asian market is out of boba popsicle so we made our own, refreshing on a hot day. 

I don't usually cook but when I do, I "cook" a very happy fruit salad

1:1 monthly date ... had some good deep chats with my old man.

Curled up on our couch after a yummy dinner.  We're making the most of SIP with lots of quality family time - cherishing these simple joys of being "stuck" together at home.

On Friday, parents were given a bonus day off work so we went to Brentwood bright and early to pick juicy strawberries 

and sweet cherries ... anyone recognize those silly adults?

Ethan's FFF this week was a Speed and Connect 4 tournament .... some friendly competition so fun! 

Saturday Night Scrabble ... nice classic game we haven't played in a while. 

Saturday morning DIY project (aka MYKDI, make your kids do it) ... sanding and staining patio furniture

We made matcha creme brulee for the first time ... so yum!  Will def make it again

Next door neighbor gave us some yummy cookie dough to bake.  

Instapot oxtail stew ... so tendor, it fell right off the bone

I asked for my own bedroom and/or office ... they asked me to make a presentation 

I shared my proposals which addressed their concerns.  I even surprised them with feedback from the "experts"  that support my request (my aunties/uncles/Gpa).  I think I'm slowly breaking them down. 

Sweet 16 & lots of cooking

I turned 16 on Thursday! 

I delivered boba to my friends for a virtual boba party.   I asked mom to make one of  my fav meals - poke bowl.  Mari made fresh whip cream and strawberry.

DIY pizza for dinner ... fresh pineapples on pizza is yum ... along with mushroom and sausage!  

Chocolate mousse ... will try to make it lighter and fluffier next time

When I'm not eating ... I have to do electrical work.  Worked hard for my "licence" on YouTube but still didn't get paid for this gig. 

Online class about Space X's next mission on May 27 ... while folding laundry 

Mom's new plant ... she loves succulents.  Indoor plans seems to make her really happy now that we're not going out as much.

Mother's Day Tradition and Cooking

Our annual Mother's Day tradition ... 1:1 quality time with mom.  She did some of our favorite things with us - ice cream walk, burger lunch outdoors, Japanese treats and just lounging on a soft rug.  So special - we all love this tradition.  

Now that we have our kitchen back, we've been cooking up a storm ... baking cookies here

I made shepherds pie for the first time and my family approved, especially Mari. 

Making almond meringue, piping was my favorite part.

Our first floor remodel is finally done after 3.5 months!  We moved back downstairs on Sat.  Been a busy weekend getting settled back downstairs.   We're loving our new first floor.
