Tyler's Family SCend Off

In May and June we had to cancel Tyler's family 18th birthday & graduation celebrations due to Covid.  Grateful we can all celebrate together before he leaves in 2 weeks.

Sunday lunch with the Wang side (missing Tracy & Sarah)

We had a very "fishy" time together.

Tyler's USC fan Club.

Saturday dinner with the Louies - DIY sushi hand rolls

Mark made a "Tyler Through the Year" video and it reminded us of how our family helped us raise him.  So grateful for our village who in different ways prepared him for his next chapter away from home.  He is excited, ready and eager to Fight On (while I'm trying to hold back tears)!

Proud USC Auntie, Gpa and parents.

Gpa (die-hard Bruin) finally came around and supported Tyler by wearing a USC shirt.  3 generation of Louies.

Louie cousins

Mari making sugar cookies with her friends.  Messy 2 hour ordeal for not very yummy cookies but so worth it for the precious laughter and simple fun.

fitbit

This week Mark transitioned from Photos to a new Google Team - Fitbit.  He's so excited about the product, team, and opportunity.

Sadly our neighbors across the street is moving.  We gathered with some fellow neighbors to bid them "see you later"

Monthly sibling dinner resumes after Covid craziness.  So grateful we're all healthy and can connect in person again!

Mari had a slumber party with her buddies in Pacific Grove this weekend.

Feasting with her buddies, lucky girls.

Meanwhile we went out for Yogurtland, boba and Beard Papa cream puffs

Rummikub match ... Mark won twice!

Hotpot feast - very fun with self-service conveyor belt.  So many meats, seafood and veggies to choose from.

Love all the sauce and side dish options

Some "Meet Fresh" sweets to wash down all the hot pot dishes.

Google cooking class this week - "bursting tomato pasta" - so simple and yummy!

Covid Quarantine

Mark and I's turn to dine in the backyard due to being positive

Fell asleep after movie,  lazy afternoon caught on camera by little bro.

We have such amazing neighbors who spoiled us with yummy food while both parents were down with Covid this week.  Here's a yummy Thai delivery, we also had a traditional Korean meal, homemade ribs, gourmet pizza and grocery deliveries!  The yummy meals not only warmed our tummies but our hearts.  We were so touched by all the care and love.  We're all back in business!

USC hosted a South Bay "SCend Off" so local students and parents can meet each other before the big move next month.  Feeling the Trojan family love.

Alaska Cruise

I've been wanting to see Alaska for some time.  So grateful we were able to cruise with family again, 21 of us!

The view is simply breathtaking - still looks fake to me.

Lot of yummy meals including afternoon tea.

Our (almost) daily 2 hour relaxing sit down lunch

Formal night

Boys poker night

First port stop

I love the relaxing sound of water.

Fresh wild salmon bake ... so yummy!

Alaskan Sunset at 10p

I joined the kids' dinner table one evening just to bottle up the cousins' jiggles and laughter, so precious.

Human pyramid in front of the majestic Ruby Princess.

Our last stop, beautiful garden in Prince Rupert, Canada.  Unfortunately, (but not unexpected) Mark and I tested positive when we got home.  Luckily symptoms aren't too bad.  Kids are happy to send us to our room!
