Flying kites

Flying kites at our neighborhood park.  Dada thanks for teaching us!

Mari tries for her 1st time.  We ran into some neighbors and got invited to a Memorial Day BBQ dinner.  Love our community!

Thur evening we were invited to a Santa Clara University BBQ to bid farewell to Mama and Dada's old dorm buildings.  They will be tearing it down in a couple weeks to build new dorms that maybe we'll live in one day ;-)

A visit to Dada's freshman dorm room, 15 years ago.

Dada's last Project Cornerstone visit to my 1st grade class.  This month, we learned about safety around campus.  I think Ethan wants him to read to his kinder class next year.

Dada learned that here are only 3 places that have Dole whip:  Dole Plantation in Hawaii, Disneyland,  and L&L in SJ Coleman Plaza.  Yummy!

Eli's 3rd pirate party.  We had lots of fun jumping around in the bouncy house.

I love my baths.

Tummy time on Dada's tummy.

Luau spread at Dada's 2nd cousin's post wedding party.  Yummy food and nice family reunion.

"Manny" Michael

Uncle Michael is back for summer break from USC and Mama put him to work right away.  He stayed over Mon-Th as our "manny" since Dada was in San Diego for a biz trip.

As you can see here, we made him work hard.  He was so much fun.  We played battleship, guess who, chess, read, did homework and much more.  Uncle Michael - thanks and hope you stay over again soon!

Celebrating Grandma's 62nd and Uncle Mike's 31st b-day with a fiesta dinner ... make you own burrito/taco bar with all the fixins!

Not a fiesta without a pinata ... we got lots of candy and money for our piggy banks.  Thanks Auntie Emi / Uncle Roo!

Open house - my 1st grade teacher Mrs. Zaporta.

Cultural day at pre-school - here I am with my Chinese dragon jacket.  Mari came for the festivities too.

Playdate with the Tans.  We sure outnumber our moms now!

Our new favorite family game - Monopoly Jr.

Visit from the Guerreros (from So Cal), Grandma's best friend.

"Bey Blade" tournament b-day party @ the Changs.

Photo shoot with Dada.  I'm all smiles after a nice long nap.  If my big bros don't make too much noise, I can nap up to 4 hours these days.

Tyler's 7

I requested for a Star Wars party for my 7th b-day.  The force was strong at our house Fri evening.

Princess Leia and Yoda came to my party too.

Dada helped us make Star Wars cookies, so fun!

On my actual b-day Sat, we had a family party.  That's my yummy homemade mint chip ice cream cake.  Mama's picky about her mint chip ice cream - has to be from Baskin Robin.

We all got to make out own burger with all the fixins - mushroom, pineapple, over easy egg, avocado, sauces and veggies.   Dada said it was better than 5 Guys.

I chose to have my b-day lunch at McD since I rarely get to go there.  This one had a playhouse too!

Who chooses to go to the library on their b-day?  I did!!
Our annual neighborhood school festival - hanging with the clone troopers (one of them was at Dada's b-day party last year).

Our lil joey's peeping out of Dada's pouch.

On Thursday was a take your preschooler to work day so I had some quality 1:1 time with Dada.  "When I grow up I want to work at Google so I can EAT and share an office with Dada."

Mama had a be-lated lunch date with Auntie Min after church.  Liang's Kitchen is one of their fav Chinese places they use to go to on their lunch break.  We all love Auntie Min - she's so fun and sweet!  Thanks again for coming over to help host our Star Wars party!

Dates with Mama

Mama decided what she wanted to do on Mother's Day was spend 1:1 time with each of us individually.   Since I was the oldest I got to go first, sushi lunch date.  It was so nice spending quality time together.  Start of a new mother's day tradition for our family.

I decided to go get hot chocolate at Peets.  We sat outside for over an hour just talking and cuddling.  I think she'll ask me out again soon.

I decided to stay in with Mama and just have girl talk after my afternoon feeding.  Here I am chatting away.  Love our daily nursing/bonding time followed by a good chat.

Mother's Day dinner at Dynasty, just the girls here.

We got to take Friday off school to celebrate Auntie Cindy (Mama's cousin) & Uncle Darren's wedding.   We had an amazing time celebrating with family.

Proud to escort an older flower girl.

Breath taking ceremony site in Forest Hill (1 hour north of Sacramento)

Beach time in Santa Cruz with the Changs celebrating Auntie Jen's 40th.

Our monthly Home Depot workshop - this month we made a tulip planter box for mother's day.  We also made Mama breakfast in bed and got her her favorite flower - orchids.  Dada - thanks for helping us with the surprise.

Daddy's little girl turned 4 months old this week.

5 Google-ly years

Today 5/1, we celebrated Dada's 5 year anniversary with Google (aka our favorite search engine and restaurant).  We all wore our Google gear, even Mari - for the celebration.  We feel so blessed that Dada works at Google, such a fun place for ALL of us!

New student drivers on the road.  Not bad for our 1st car huh?  Come on over and take it out for a spin.  Thanks Auntie Crystal for this awesome hand me down!

National Take Your Child To Work Day.  We spent the whole Thursday at Google with Dada.  We had breakfast and lunch there.  Some of the fun included - an astro wizard performance, etch a sketch art class, cooking demonstrations, learning about Google maps street view camera and much more.  When we grow up we want to work at Google (in Dada's office)!

Winner winner FISH dinner!   On Saturday morning we went fishing at Santa Clara's annual fish derby.  We both caught a rainbow trout.  Dada - thanks for bringing us so early in the morning and cooking the fish - so yummy!

Video chatting with Uncle Michael @ USC.  He seems happy, we can't wait to go to college.  See you next weekend!

Dada had a dessert date with Great Grandma while we were asleep.  It's in the genes, we all got our sweet tooth from her.

Our other great grandma (Mama's grandma) turned 83 this weekend.  We're so lucky to have 2 healthy great grandmas.
