100 Days Smarter

On Wed we celebrated 100 days of school.  We made crowns, put 100 snacks in a bag, designed a necklace with 100 fruit loops ... such a fun day.   I sure feel 100 days smarter!

Celebrating Chinese New Year with more or Mama's relatives.  Hanging out with 2 of Mama's sisters (Auntie Nancy we missed you, hope you're feeling better).

Light Saber battle with Grandpa.  Thanks for coming down to play with us!

Cub Scout Pinewood Derby.  Anxiously waiting for the cars to race down the tracks.

Playdate with the Changs.  Mama's keeping us busy with peeling the wrappers off crayons so we can make a heart shaped crayon mold, pretty fun.

Here I am (Ethan) getting a CT scan of my ear.   A couple months ago I didn't pass my hearing test at school in my left ear.  After further testing, this week I was diagnosed with congential cholesteatoma which means I need surgery to remove some excess skin inside my ear.  Surgery is scheduled for 2/23.  I'm doing ok but Mama & Dada was quite emotional when they learned that their baby will have to be put under to go through a 4 hour surgery (I'm not a baby but they claim I always will be).  Mama & Dada are doing better now.  Would appreciate your prayers for a successful surgery in a couple weeks.

My turn (Ethan) to plan FFF, I decided to make chocolate chip pancakes for dinner ... aka "brinner"

Playdate with my neighbor friend Emma who's a few months younger than me, isn't she cute?  We both have 2 older brothers to protect us.

FFF

Dada's turn to plan this week's FFF (family fun friday), for part of the night we had target practice.  We get points for knocking down the red cup with nerf guns.

NBA Lego fun - our new lego set.  Thanks Uncle Bryan!  Check out who came to see the game!

Dada's friend helped us buy these beanies from Disneyland (Thanks Auntie Kim!).  3 Micky Stormtroppers and 1 Micky Yoda.

They sneaked out again for their "month-iversary" date on the 10th.  They went out to eat at Orenchi Ramen and En Japanese Tapas (after having dinner with us!).  Uncle Steve - thanks for sleepsitting us (and Auntie Jen)!

Dole Whip with Uncle Russ and Auntie Mireya!  Thanks for spoiling us with all your attention,  fun toys and cute clothes!

My 1 year photo shoot.

On Wed I turned one so I got to visit Dada for a lunch date - hmm do I want Chinese (bacon fried rice), Japanese (poke tuna handroll) or American (PBJ)?

"Hey, that's my birthday ice cream, pass it over please!"

Girly fun at the Lims - thanks for the yummy Korean taco and letting me play with all the cool pink toys my brothers don't have.

Target practice with Uncle Michael before we do the real thing at Laser Quest ...

Auntie Jen - thanks for spending your day off taking out out for lunch, laser tag, gelato and more fun at Uncle Steve's place!

Dada's cousin, Uncle Jason on "break" from Harvard Business School so he came over to play some games with us.  Hope he can sleepover more often.

Auntie Min was in the hospital for 2 night so they can monitor the twins (everything is fine now!).  Check out Uncle Mike's work station!

Jan 2012  ... 1 year old

Jan 2011 ... 3 minutes old

This week was Mama's turn to plan FFF (family fun friday).  After dinner, we went to Peet's for hot chocolate and played card games outside.  So fun!

Our prize at Uncle Mike and Auntie Min's shower, Mama guessed the closest amount of mini m&m's in this bottle.  Can you guess how many?   I won't take the bottle for milk but I will for chocolate!

I (Ethan) won an In and Out giftcard at the shower for bringing a baby book for our twin cousins, so I treated my family to lunch.  Milkshake was so yummy!

Highlight of my weekend, I lost 2 teeth back to back nights.  One came out when I was eating a Hersey's Kiss.  We had to look for the tooth in the chocolate.  Tooth Fairy came 2 nights in a row!

Pump It Up fun with our school friends.

Our cousin Logan (5 wks old), came over to our house for the very 1st time to celebrate my b-day.  Yea for 2011 babies!

SCU New Years Eve brunch.  Carinos thanks for hosting a fun and yummy playtime.

SCU girls (and affiliates).  Great seeing Auntie Ro (Mama's college roomie) from Las Vegas.

Ringing in the 2012 with our neighbors.  They threw and amazing party with lots of yummy food and a fun balloon drop.  We got to stay up until midnight for the countdown!

Love the NYE disco ball, kept me entertained for quite some time.

Peet's hot chocolate break.  Love doing all the simple things over xmas break.

Look what we found at Google - life-size gingerbread house!
