Bye Bye Microwave

After doing much research, this past week Dada decided for us to stop using our microwave.  We'll still keep it there but we haven't used it for over a week.  #1 reason is because it zaps away most of  the nutrients in our food and #2 reason, food taste so much better when it's steamed instead of zapped.  These are just 2 of the many reasons.

Our church finally has a permanent home.  Amazing to see people work to hard to make this everyone's home.  Come visit us sometime:  http://southbaychurch.org/

Great Grandma with all 5 of her Great Grandkids.

I'm Eight Years Old!

I turned 8yrs old and tradition in our family is that we get to plan the ENTIRE special day.  We began the day at 7am at my favorite fast food place.  It's a treat since Mama and Dada never take us to McDonald's.

Next up was a pizza party with my class!  We even got to pull up Ethan from his Kinder routine and he helped Mama and Dada setup plates, napkins, Capri-Sun, watermelon, and our favorite food.  Thanks Ethan!

After school we went to Chuck E. Cheese and played all the games.  Mari didn't want us driving HER car.

We can't get enough pizza!  We made these "Mini Murph's" and chose our own individual toppings.  Thank you God for our family dinners.

Open House at school!  All our desks had our big projects for display.  Mama and Dada say they're so proud of us for doing good work all year.  We also got to check out next year's classrooms.  Can't believe the school year is almost done!

Famous R&G Lounge crab.  Yummy!  We celebrated all the May babies: Me, Grandma Louie, Uncle Mike, Auntie Min, Uncle Russ, and we also celebrated Mother's Day on Dada's side of the family.  Delicious meal...me and Ethan, and even Mari are eating a lot these days.  Maybe we'll get to love food just as much as Mama & Dada.

"Really Dad?  ANOTHER picture of me?"  Dada can't stop following me with his camera...I have to give him attitude sometimes...but it seems to make him take even more pictures.

I'm making new friends...and here is Max as he just moved up to San Francisco with Uncle Russ!  More of our family have moved to the SF Bay Area!  We love having our family (and furry extended family) closer...and we're so thankful to share in all of God's wonderful blessings together.  Congrats on settling in to your new place Uncle Russ!

Our Mother's Day Tradition

Our mom loves quality 1 on 1 time with people, especially us.  So for Mother's Day every year, we each take her out on a date.  I took her out for breakfast at Noah's Bagel at 7:30am before church.  She was craving for a bagel breakfast sandwich and I enjoyed my chocolate chip bagel and OJ.

Mama loves walks around the neighborhood so Mari took her out on a walking date, she even tried to pick some flowers for Mama too.  Our sister is so sweet!

I took her out on a dinner date to Sushi O Sushi, yummy!  So nice to have quality 1 on 1 time and talk about lots of different things.

On the 10th of every month, our parents sneak out for their "month-iversary" date after they tuck us in to enjoy some kid-less time.  This month they went to Misoya Ramen and Cooking Papas.

Almost 8 years old.  On Friday, my friends came over (including Chewbacca) to celebrate with me.

We made our own personal size pizza for dinner, had a Star Wars fighter pod tournament, shot villians with Nerf guns.  Had a blast!

Our pizza actually turned out really good.

Mother's Day and my bday celebration with Mama's family @ our cousin Logan's house.

We went with our Cub Scout group to launch rockets at NASA.  Both ours shot up so high, awesome experience!

Yea our twin cousins came to visit.  I was put on babysitting duty with both of them.  I really like taking care of babies.

Father Son Retreat

This weekend Dada took us on a Christian Father-Son Retreat in Cold Springs, CA.  We had a blast doing so many guy bonding activities.  Dada - thanks for this fun-filled weekend!

Paddle boating and enjoying the beautiful site of out camp grounds.

Uncle Wylie teaching us how to use a compass (a real one, not the one on the iphone)

Lots of fun in the game room playing chess, foosball, air hockey etc.

Learning how to sword fight.

Paintball target practice.

Mama and Mari had a girls weekend.  Friday night they went to Santana Row with Mama's SCU girlfriends.  We missed out on Pinkberry frozen yogurt!

And on Sunday they went to SF to meet up with family and middle school girlfriends.  Cousin Logan (left) is about 6 months and Max just turned 1.
