Chill weekend

This is the 1st Sat in a while where we didn't have a sports game.   We had a leisurely family breakfast.

Then the 5 of us went bowling, nice and quiet there in the morning.

Auntie Jen and Uncle Steve had a small local wedding celebration.  Nice to celebrate with them again!  Cheers to the newlywed Chans!

Waiting for our turn to hit the pinata at our neighbor's bday party.

Received my official wolf badge.  Ethan also got his cub badge.

Week full of celebrations

On Sat we both had our playoff game and won (doesn't happen too often)!  Both our teams came in 3rd place in our division.  And we both were awarded "Rookie of the year" from our coach.  We still have lots to learn ... so excited for next year already!   My 1st trophies!

Thanks coach & team mates for a great season!

Tue I officially turned 9.  Our family tradition is that bday person gets to plan the day.  Here are my plans ...   #1 Lucky Charms for breakfast, a very rare occasion.  #2 Lunchables for lunch at school (another rare occasion)

#3 Popsicle party with my 3rd grade class.

#4 Video game & snacks at Google!  We love visiting Dada's work.

#5 Requested for Mama to make one of my favorite meal - salmon and tuna sashimi

#6 After having over 20+ piece of sushi each ... we walked to get Cold Stone ice cream, yum!
#7 Watched the warriors game ... what a fun filled day I planned for us! ;-)

Parents celebrated Uncle Cory & Auntie Katelyn's wedding.   They said it was a very special wedding with touching speeches, yummy food and great company (which didn't include us).  Chings, Lims & Auntie Tracy/Uncle Tim - thanks for helping take care of so our parents can enjoy a couple hours of "freedom!"

Big week for Dada.  His new team, Google+ made some major announcements on Wed @ Google I/O which went really smoothly.  So proud of you Dada - cheers!

Here we are celebrating all our hard work at school's year-end open house.  What an amazing school year.  Only 3 more weeks of school left.

My weekend to have a date with my dad ... celebrating simple quality time together over a refreshing drink.  Just the 2 of us!

Our buddy Ry's bday @ Malibu Grand Prix ... we miniature golf'd for the 1st time, fun!

Our parents were invited to a hard hat tour of our community library opening up in Dec.  We are so excited we'll be able to walk to a library.  We love books!   Definitely something we celebrate everyday when we walk by the construction site.

Microwave-free for a whole year ... for life now!   Food is so much healthier and taste better too!  Don't think we'll go back to using our microwave again.

So grateful for a week full of small and big celebrations!

Mother's Day 2013

Mama's Mother's Day wish every year is to have a 1:1 date with her kids.  Mari had a snack picnic with her.  Girls had a great time rolling around in the grass enjoying the nice weather.  Ethan took her out for breakfast and I took her out for an after dinner drink.  Always a treat to spend quality 1:1 time together just to cuddle and talk!

Yummy dinner with Popo, her 4 girls and 4 grandkids.  Uncle Michael - we missed you.

After dim sum, we all went to church together to see our cousin Hailey get dedicated.  She's such a cutie pie.

All 6 munchkins visiting Great grandma to wish her a happy mother's day.

We had a sleepover party to celebrate me turning 9 in a few days.  Here we are making s'mores with our indoor "camp fire."  Mama's getting emotional this week that this will be her baby's last single digit bday.

Watching Wreck It Ralph during the slumber party, funny movie.

Annual "Take your parents to work day,"  from 9-6pm!  Dada's so grateful for his supportive and fun-loving parents.

For our cub scout meeting this week, we biked 5 miles with our pack.

Annual school "Spring Fling" with lots of games and food trucks!

We made to very "fishy" treat for our teachers because they're so "sweet" to us.

Had a pick these up at Home Depot so we can make this mother's day dinner for Mama ...

Yummy Korean dinner!  Thanks Dada for grilling dinner for us!

We're not always playing.  Here we are working hard afterschool.   Our family motto, work hard, play hard.

and of course eating!   Dada - thanks for taking us.  We really appreciate how you make spending time with us a priority.  We had a BLAST with you!

While the boys were gone, Mama and I had some quality together.  She even bought us matching outfits for our special boy-less weekend.

Met our newest SCU clan / neighbor - Kiera @ 1.5 weeks old.  We had a fun playdate and lunch together!

2 of my neighbors came over to my new pedi shop.  Attempting to dry her 5-color pedi by blowing on her toes.

Partying with my twin cousins at K&K's 1st bday party.

Celebrating my good friend Cayden's 1st Communion - she's so sweet to me.   She's the only girl in her fam too - we are excited for more mommy-daughter outings.
