We play hard but also have to work hard.  Someone's gotta keep the house clean.

This week Dada went to Portland for a business trip.  After work, he was able to meet up with Uncle Gell's family for some yummy meals.  We took good care of Mama while he was gone and got a special treat when he came home.

Pumpkin Patch 2011

 Santa Clara pumpkin patch.

We found the perfect "pumpkin" we want to take home!

On Monday, our teachers had meetings so no school for us.  Instead field trip to Google, haven't been here since school started.  Always a yummy time, esp at the snack bar.

My 1st shoulder ride, so much fun.  Dada was getting all sentiment.  I really do have him wrapped around my fingers.

Watching Harry Potter 2.  I'm on book 5 now, Harry Potter books are so addictive!

This week, I started eating Cheerios!  Yum yum!

Still no teeth for me yet but I can bit into a banana all by myself.  Finished almost the whole thing.

Reading to my lil bro at our 2nd cousin Nicolas' red egg party at Tomo sushi.

This is how we roll at Target.  Been saving up our "good job bucks"  for some toy shopping.

5 Guys Burger with Dada's siblings.

Mama found $1.25 happy hour oysters at Fish Market Restaurant.  She can't wait to go back for more.

Big FIVE

On Wed, I officially turned 5!  A family tradition we have is that the b-day boy/girl gets to plan the WHOLE day.  It's a family holiday so our parents take the day off work.  I started my day with a 7am McD breakfast.  This was the 1st time we had breakfast at McD.  Quite a treat, esp on a school day.

Then I planned for my parents to come to school with popsicles for my classmates on this hot day to celebrate.

The right after school, I planned for us to skip homework and go straight to Chuck E Cheese for some fun games.  Wish I can do this everyday!

With 175 tokens, we got to play lots of game and won many tickets!

Then dinner at Red Robin.  When the staff sings happy birthday to me, it makes me feel so special.  Also loved my b-day ice cream sundae.

On Sat, Uncle Mike and Auntie Min had a "gender reveal" party to find out the twins gender.

Uncle Mike got his "daddy's lil girl" and Auntie Min got her "lil man!"  We are all ecstatic about the news.  Here's a video on how we found out:  http://vimeo.com/30635940

On Sunday, we celebrated Auntie Nancy's (Mama's sister) baby boy arriving next month.  Here I am with PoPo and the 4 Wang sisters.  Super excited for our very 1st cousin!

Quote of the week  Ethan:  Mama someone in my class wants to be a grown up.  Mama:  Do you want to be a grown up too?  Ethan:  No way!  I don't want to work or take care of kids.  ... words from a "wise" 5 year old.

Almost double digits

Turned 9 months on Tue, almost double digits.

Dada didn't like this topless photoshoot.

I got to invite 8 of my friends (sans parents) over for a Star Wars party to celebrate my upcoming 5th b-day (10/12).  We had a great time with arts and craft, games and food!

Chewbacca came by to wish me a happy birthday.

Google lunch with Mama's middle school girlfriends.  Auntie Christine - thanks for hosting us!  So fun tagging along to all girls outings with Mama.

I'm officially a cub scout now.  Uncle Steve use to be a cub scout, he's helping me understand my handbook.

Celebrating Great grandma's 91st and my 5th b-day in SF.

Pony ride at SCU's annual alumni family day

Like my new friend Snakey?

This python was over a 100 pounds!

Dada went with his buddies to the PGA golf tournament and saw ...

Tiger Woods in action only 10 feet away!

Dinner at Dynasty ... can't wait til I get some teeth so I can eat all those yummy chinese dishes.

Quote of the week  Ethan:  "I found a quarter, can you put it in my college back account?  Am I a smart boy?  I'm planning ahead!"  We've been working on planning ahead for school, ie having backpack, clothes etc all ready to go so we're not scrambling in the morning.  Now he's jumping ahead and not only planning ahead by 1 day but by 12 years!

Meet Yeabisira

For the past 2 years we have been pen pals with our international friend Yeabisira.  He's 7 years old from Ethiopia.   Every month we make a donation to help him buy food and medicine.   We "earn" money by being extra helpful around the house, we "save" some, we "spend" some and we "donate" some to Yeabisira.  We don't need any help learning how to spend, but our parents are trying to teach us the importance to earn, save and donate our money.  If you're interested in sponsoring a child in need of help visit:  http://www.compassion.com/

Since I finished the 1st book, I got to watch the movie over the weekend.   I like the book much better than the movie.  They left lots of details and events out of the movie.  Can't wait to read the 2nd book this week.  Any Harry Potter fans out there?

On Wed nite, after tucking us in Dada brought Mama out to Santana Row for her salty (garlic fries at Plutos) and sweet (hazel nut cake at Cocoloa) cravings.  They enjoying sitting outside in 75 degree weather.  Mama loves eating outside whenever the weather permits.  Auntie Jen - thanks for sleep-sitting!

My "work" station.  I have a built in laptop, phone and all.  Keeps me quite busy.

Mama's HS friend Auntie Syl is expecting her 1st daughter in Nov and I got to tag along to this all girls baby shower.

After dinner playtime with Great Grandma at the Mewies.  Auntie Min - thanks for cooking us a yummy fiesta!

1st field trip to the recycling center with Dada to recycle all the beer and sake bottles from his bday party.  We got $6.18 and got to keep the money since we helped sort everything.

Each month our school  holds a mega skill award ceremony to a few students in each class, this month's mega skill was confidence and I was one of the kinder winners.  Next month is initiative.
