SF Wellness Day

Work gave everyone Friday off for self care - we left the kids at "school" and went to SF for a comfort food picnic & just hung out on the beach, so peaceful. 

This view & the sound of the waves does not get old ... home sweet home. 

Family football game.  Nephew was running back and Teddy was referee. 

Father son date at Red Robin.  Sounds like they enjoyed some yummy eats and great chats.

Mari's crepe shop open for business again.  Strawberry, banana & nutella, yum!  

Ethan made shepard pie for his weekly Tue cooking night.   So yum, we all had 2nds and 3rds. 

Part of Mari's FFF - jump rope contest.   Boys added a twist and tried to make jumper laugh. 

Monthly haircut for the family this weekend - all 5 of them, including Teddy. 

 

Asian Love

Been a tough week processing what has been happening to the Asian community.   Grateful for friends and family who have checked in on us.   

"DCS Cubs hibernating for 1 year!"  Grateful for students and teachers' health this past year. 

Happy St. Patty's Day!   We dressed in green for a free Krispy Kreme donut, rare treat for the kids. 

Mark's back to school.  He's super grateful for this opportunity to learn from 533 classmates from 65 countries! 

PE time - someone's not interested in exercising. 

Ethan made pizza from scratch for his "school lunch" ... quite a fancy meal in the middle of a school day.

Nursery (for baby veggies plants) and boba date with Mark. 

Happy first day of Spring!  Post dinner family time at the park is so refreshing after a busy school/work day.

Another Pandemic Bday

I just missed a pandemic bday by a few days last year.  Luckily restaurants opened up again so we were able to dine out for the first time as a family since Covid. 

Grateful for our lil family. 

It snowed in Santa Clara for my bday ... what an awesome present ;) 

Clear blue skies after the rain ... romantic stroll on the beach (in our rainboots). 

Feeling so happy listening to the sound of the waves and smell of fresh air.

My turn for FFF - Ticket to Ride European version ... thanks bro for the bday gift.   Then we watched Minari.  

My 2 sister in laws treated me out for a lunch picnic.  To our surprise we chatted away for about 4 hours ... so nice to finally catch up in person!  

Jump rope PE class ... Mark showed the kids what he use to do for high school basketball practice.  He's quite fast.

One of my weekly highlights is "adulting" with the boys talking about things that interests them ... politics, news, investments etc ... love learning about their perspectives.  They don't always want to hang out with us but when they do, we're all ears (and smiles) :)
