Feb break in So Cal

Was traveling last Sunday so will combine 2 weeks here. 

First basketball game with Tyler and friends to watch USC beat Stanford. 

Tyler has been training to be a tour guide for the past 5 months.  We enjoyed his many fun facts, pun-ny jokes and thankfully he didn't fall walking backwards almost the whole time.

After 4 back to back walking tour, I needed a break from walking at Universal Studios.  Grateful Mark took care of me and pushed me around all-day.  The family enjoyed my accessibility pass.   

Butterbeer - got the cold and hot version.  Too sweet for me but kids liked it.

Was at the park for 13+ hours ... 8a - 9p.  Fun day!

Ethan made meatloaf for Uncle Bryan.  I made the veggies since that's not usually on Ethan's menu. 

Impromptu STEM celebration on Vday with Mari's buddies since they found out they got accepted into the STEM program!   Our 3rd one to join STEM. 

Lunch with my dear sissy and mom.  Grateful we live close and can share simple lunch gatherings.  

Double date with our awesome neighbors.  Ethan and Mari and good friends with their 2 kids.  

 

Celebrating friendship

Mushroom foraging with my middle school girlfriends in Marin.  So fun to spend almost a full day together driving, hiking, eating, and looking for mushrooms! 

I look forward to our weekly Friday lunch dates.  A great way to wrap up our week of work and shuffling kids around.  Yummy food over good conversations = quality time.

Tyler's co-ed intramural basketball team with his academic cohort ... they lost pretty badly (see scoreboard) but glad they still had fun.
