Chinese Spring Performance

Spring Performance at Chinese school.

Waiting for my brothers' performance to start.  Like my boots, they finally fit me.  I can walk around in them pretty fast.

Reading bedtime bible stories to my lil bro.

Kinder field trip to Happy Hallow.

Dada came to do his monthly reading.  This month was about being polite and kind.  Mama came too and played a "gummy bear" game with us to teach us about manners.

Relay race this Wed for our weekly cub scout meeting.

Dada decided to do a juice fast for 15 days until Easter.  He is blending fresh fruits and veggies as a meal.   Many others at our church including our pastor are fasting to show their dependency on God.  We miss eating with Dada but is proud of him for doing this as we know how much he LOVES to eat.  13 more days to go!

* On a different note, this week I (Ethan) found out that I'll need a 2nd ear surgery.  The titanium they put in  didn't settle in the right position so they'll have to go in to adjust it.  I'm schedule to have my 2nd ear surgery on 4/12.  This time should only take 1 hr vs. 4 hrs last time.  Please keep me in your prayers.  My parents and I are doing ok about this news.  We trust I'm in His good hands.  - Ethan

Fun in the rain

On Friday night as we walked home from our neighbor's house it started pouring!   Thanks to our umbrellas, out tops stayed dried but out bottoms were completely soaked!  Dada - thanks for letting us to play in the rain, we had a BLAST with you!

Mark & Di + FIVE!   Visiting our 1 month old twin cousins, Maya & Jeremy.  They are so precious!

Girl talk ... Maya is such a sweatheart already!  Can't wait til we can run around together.

Like my original dinosaur creation?  He's eating trash off the table.

My new favorite fruit ... I can eat the whole slice by myself.

Sat Chinese school fun ... when the teacher says a word, we get to hit the word on the board with a real fly swatter.

Dada taught us the importance of donating blood to help others (despite how much he doesn't like needles).   He even got a free pint of Baskin Robin ice cream for his pint of blood.  What a great deal - wish we could give blood too.

Mama's spoiled with more b-day dinners.  These SCU girls (Auntie Nina and Loan) have been celebrating bdays together for almost 10 years now!   Thanks for all the sweets and yummy Gochi's leftovers!

With our neighbors and church friends.  Auntie Jen L and Jen K @ Tanto's.   Thanks for spoiling our mom with all the yummy food and great company!   Mama loves to sneak out for her 2nd dinner after tucking us in.  Can't wait til we can tuck her in and sneak out  ;-)

Mama's bday week

This Sat was our mom's bday.  Lots of yummy meals/treats throughout the week.  Grandma - thanks for getting Mama's favorite cake for all of us to enjoy (and all the other goodies)!

Our attempt at song writing ... her favorite bday present.

Grilling dinner #1 for the bday girl.  For her dinner #2 (same nite), Dada took her out for Thai food. Uncle Eric / Auntie Thuy - thanks for sleep-sitting us!

Auntie Syl, Audrey (4 mo) and Auntie Mel - thanks for coming down to have a bday lunch with our mom.  She was so happy to see you guys! Mama's middle school girlfriends.

Auntie Nancy, our cousin Logan (3 mo), Auntie Tracy and PoPo came down fr SF to take our mom out to lunch.  Mama's so spoiled for her bday.

I was selected to read my book at the Santa Clara Unified School district young writers' expo.  I was a bit nervous that week but when it was my turn to read, it wasn't too bad.  My parents are so proud of me.

For part of this week's FFF, we had a basketball shooting contest.  I'm keeping score (Ethan).  Dada's really good at this game, we'll have to practice more when he's at work.

Louie gals celebrating Auntie Joyce's twin girls coming this May!

Dada had a business trip to South Carolina and brought back all these goodies for us!  Like my new glasses? It's so cool I can see EVERYTHING now!

Kite flying at our park, can you see our kite?  It's that dot waaaay up there.

Pajama Day

Dr. Suess b-day = PJ and stuffed animal day and Dada picked us up from school, what a fun day!

Mama and Dada dropped us off with a babysitter to have a Japanese dinner with the newest parents in town.  After 9 months Auntie Min can finally have sashimi.  They are all looking and doing great.

Maya (left) and Jeremy slept through the whole visit.  Mama was a bit bummed she couldn't play with them. but enjoyed a nice quiet conversation with their parents (since we weren't there).  They are so cute, we can't wait to see them again!
Twister fun with the Aldridge sisters visiting from Oregon.  Thanks for coming by to play.

Kyla's 2nd Mickey party.  Always fun to hang out with the growing SCU clan.

Stars on Ice @ HP Pavillion.  We got to see many Olympic medalists perform.  They can do some amazing stunts.  Auntie Jen - thanks for sleep-sitting/babysitting Mari while we enjoyed the show!

Since we don't know about weekend morning cartoons (and don't have cable), we made paper costumes to keep ourselves entertained until we can wake up our parents.  I'm a Clone Trooper, can you guess who?

Mari will walk for ...
