I knew you were the perfect "matcha" all "oolong!"

Tried a new boba place this weekend for our date, Urban Ritual. Cup says, "I knew you were the perfect matcha all oolong!"

Looks like I have a happy customer. This "bib" works really well. Helps me finish all 3 boys' cut in under 20 minutes. After 15+ years still yet to receive a tip.

Commander Gree is complete ... helmet #3. These helmets keep the boys busy and off their screens. They have been operating on them outside after school.

Tyler's FFF - he picked Taco Bell for dinner ... he also ate too much and got a tummy ache.

Week 4 of foster parent training ... last week we learned about child brain development. This week we learned about impacts of trauma. We're learning so much. Also saddened to learn the devastating effects that trauma has on children, even babies who we sometimes think, "don't understand."

Rib eye steak again this weekend per Ethan's request.

Sunday dim sum brunch. This is less than half our spread. Kids usually skip lunch now because they eat so much! Piggy and bunny were cute but we still ate them ;)

Girl Scout cookies going out for delivery to our neighbors! No door to door or booth sales this year. Pre orders only and all cookies have been claimed. Our fav is thin mints!

Cheers to "boring" politics

Inauguration Day - cheers to a new administration that we don't mind the kids learning from. Grateful for a safe and peaceful historic day. Much work to be done but we are hopeful. Cheers to progress and "boring" politics!

Weekly Dim Sum Brunch

A weekend highlight every week ... Sunday dim sum brunch tradition. Sometimes we eat so much we skip lunch. Our favorite is XLB - xiao long bao ... we had 3 dozen.

My FFF this week ... tried KFC for my very first time. Followed by hide and seek, card games, Wanda Vision.

After hours of printing, sanding, gluing, painting ... Arc Trooper Echo has joined the family

Teddy's BFFs - cousins Jacob and Olivia come over to walk him.

Mom still can't believe she has a junior in HS who will be leaving the nest in 1.5 years.

Dad leading Mari's 4th grade Project Cornerstone lesson. This month's lesson is on anger management. This is dad's 12th year volunteering to teach students awesome life lessons every month. He makes it so fun for us ... even when it's online.

Mom got new twin leaves this week ... she's so happy this fiddle leaf plant got it's 3rd new leaf under our watch. New plant leaves = joy ;)

Father-daughter date ... refreshing cold drink on a warm winter day. Grateful for simple quality 1:1 time.

PE Class ... 2 working hard, 2 hardly working!

Our parents don't buy us bday gifts, our tradition is that bday person gets to plan the whole day - activities and meals. Mari picked some of her favorite meals and simple games at home. McD for breakfast.
